Lillian Ball’s multidisciplinary educational background
includes anthropology, ethnographic film, and design. She is a recipient of a
grant in printmaking from the New York Foundation for the Arts and also a grant
in Sculpture from the National Endowment for the Arts. Ball has had solo
exhibitions at the Sculpture Center, New York, NY, Ruben Spangle Gallery, New
York, NY, and the Hudson River Museum, Yonkers, NY. She has also participated
in numerous group exhibitions including The Transformal at the
Vienna Secession and Abstract/Real at
the Museum of Modern Art, Vienna, Austria, Critical Mass at Yale University Art Gallery, New Haven, CT, and Bad
Girls at the New Museum of Contemporary
Art, New York, NY. Lillian Ball was born in Maine and lives and works in New
York City.
