Suzanne Anker (NY) Suzanne Anker (NY) is a visual artist and theoretician working with genetic imagery. Her work has been shown both nationally and internationally including the Walker Art Center, Minneapolis, MN; the Smithsonian Institute, Washington DC; the Philips Collection, P.S. 1 Museum, New York, NY; the Statkunst, Koln, Germany; the Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo, Japan; the Denver Art Museum; and the J. Paul Getty Museum, Los Angeles, CA. Her most recent exhibition, The Butterfly in the Brain was in May 2002 at Universal Concepts Unlimited in New York City. Ms. Anker is currently Chair of the Art History Department at the School of Visual Arts in NYC. Maureen Connor Since the mid 70s Maureen Connor has been committed to the exploration of gender and its modes of representation. Although the forms as well as the media Maureen has used has changed quite a bit over the years, she has continued to concentrate on a number of related and often overlapping concerns. Included among these are the investigation of how sexuality develops, especially for women, an interest in the symbolic power of the mundane, various analyses of the body and its relation to culture, a desire to engage the audience in an active, physical manner and an emphasis on humor and sensual pleasure.AmersterdamColorado

Ann Shostrom (NY) is an artist, curator and writer. Archipelago was on the Denver Post's "10 Best Exhibitions of 2002 in Colorado" list.
